Speak up against bias and stereotypes.

Teaching Tolerance has a long commitment to teaching children how to be active participants in a diverse democracy. This publication was created for teachers, but the message applies to anyone who is building the skills and courage it takes to advocate for social justice. We are surely discussing the events of today with our children, most important is to listen deeply to the child's understanding. Let's meet our children with compassion and empathy at their level of development. We can also help them learn skills to be agents of change. Please reach out for a listening ear if you or your child would like support, discussion, or to make a suggestion for the school counselor at mmulligan@wsesu.net
