Never stop learning!

Updated: Jan 1, 2022

Lifelong learning is a terrific goal for each of us, and the mindsets and skills we develop in the early years are an investment in our future. It is never too late to enjoy the benefits of finding out more about our interests or picking up new ones. Our students routinely spiral back to learning topics at a deeper level as they advance through grades. We all cultivate new questions as we grow, and research tells us that being curious is one of the traits that contribute to a happier and more meaningful life. Our social-emotional learning programs can occasionally seem redundant (I had some students moan in agony when I mentioned the word "empathy" last week), but we found an opportunity to dig deeper and find out that our classmates share some of the same complicated feelings about what it means to be a "good" friend.
